Glenroi Oval

With the Glenroi area growing quickly following the establishment of the Email Whitegoods factory in 1946 the need for facilities increased and in 1951 Council began constructing Glenroi Oval behind the site for the new Glenroi School in Maxwell Avenue with tree planting on the western boundary carried by the Glenroi Progress Association. Glenroi oval is today the home of hockey in the City with 2 synthetic hockey fields allowing the game to be played year round and at night.
