Joseph Moulder arrived in Sydney in 1818. In 1828 he was hutkeeper to William McLeod of Bathurst. In 1836 he was granted a 633 acre section on the eastern boundary of Orange and two grants of over 1200 acres on the southern boundary were made in 1836 and 1839. He built his first home near Gosling Creek and called it ‘Bloomfield’. In 1858 he built his second home ‘Endsleigh House’ The residence is still occupied. Endsleigh Avenue took its name from the house.
